I have been a student of Dr. Leung Ting for over 20 years. If any one has any questions about our system I would be happy to answer them.

Thank you.
Can you tell me how is your method of training starting from beginners to instructor level?
I would most appreciate it.
I met an instructor from Germany that was from the Leung Ting Lineage under Keith Kerspect. The way he taught was from patterns. He would start off with pattern 1 then proceed to add pattern two and then three and then he would mix it up.
Most of the training in the beginning was from repetition.
Do you train your students the same way?

I start students out by teaching S-N-T by section form then application.
It is a method similar to the way Augustine Fong teaches.
Dr. Leung Ting is much more a purest, teaching a strictly traditional approach. The Europeans and Americans from his style have added teaching methods to appeal to the western "gotta have it now" market.
Dr. Leung Ting approves of niether of these methods but allows them as long as they are not done during his visits when everyone is required to assume a purests' role.
I guess you could say we are all naughty children.
The more advanced a student becomes the more pure their Wing Tsun must become due to the amount of training that is required.
I hope this is the answer you were looking for, if not I can elaborate further.

In HFY,
we also start with SNT and progress through each section, well along with other information pertenant with the section of SNT
Thank you.
How do you condition the body? We mostly at this time mostly through drills and repetition of SNT.

The techniques I teach are long hours in a character two (my own special version of standing meditation (qigong)) and work a student toward a thousand chain punches at the end of each class (in the air) within the first 5 to 10 lessons then to bag training. Form(s) daily and free steps (at least a 1/2 hour daily) as they progress(including single leg S-N-T). Beginning pairs (pak-sau drills) until single chi-sau then double chi-sau, nuk-sau.
Chain kicking 100 each kick (leg) daily, tripodal dummy, wooden man then weaponry.
I don't believe in Iron Body training so I don't teach it.
All of this training is done throughout the students career. One must never loose sight of the basics.
