Dear Grand Master Hoffmann,
even though in my previous post I stated my relative indifference for any question of descent and relationship among various styles, a raising interest going on in Italy about Weng Chun origins, history and programs drove me curious about a couple of things.
That's why I would like to put you the following questions.
First of all, most of the italian students actually claim that Yip Man' s Wing Chun is just a simplified and faulty part of the Weng Chun style, from which it originated through Yip Man's contacts with some relevant Weng masters.
Is this true in your opinion? If yes, what are the actual proofs of this fact?
Moreover, what do you think about some assumptions according to which modern Weng Chun would be a mutli-style patchwork arranged firstly by Cheng Kwong and then by you?
Secondly, can whoever complete the entire Weng Chun system in less than one year, as it seems to be said?
Thank you for your attention lob
