Hi op108wc,

tao concepts is an off-shoot of the EWTO of Leung Ting/K. Kernspecht. Frank Demann, 10. th level-master-degree, former 9th student-degree WT, and another guy mixed the knowledge he bought from an unknown WT-sifu and the knowledge he has as a physiotherapist to build, in his words, something totally new.

Well, he says, it' not Ving Tsun anymore. He's right. But actually, he tries to mess up the Ving Tsun-community with his statements - something he shouldn't do, having no idea of Ving Tsun.

The usual 'daily Ving Tsun madness'.

Best wishes,

Armin.

Hi Armin,

I cannot read German so I can't say anything about it. Thanks a lot for taking the time to give such detailed answers. It was very informative.

hi op108wc,

you're welcome.

I took another look at the page - if you click on the logo on the first page, you get the choice of german or english. And here's the drect link.

tao concepts english (http://www.tao-concepts.info/frame_e.html)

You should be taking a look at the three videos in 'media'. They show very nice, what he's teaching and the way the tao-conceptists work.

Hi Cang Long,

well, it seems to be getting worse every day (concerning the ving tsun 'community'). More and more politics, even between people who should be working together, not against each other. Instead of working together and preserving our art, they argue over whos's teaching the 'truer' ving tsun. You knwo that stuff - 'sifu showed me this' ... 'oh really, sifu showed me that'.

At the beginning it was kind of surveyable. There was the EWTO, the big bad wolf, some offshoots, and there were the 'true yip man stylists', like Philipp Bayer and Barry Lee of the Wong-family, Wilhelm Blech of Lok Yiu, and so on. They all were kind of working together against the EWTO.

Now, that changed. The WSL-family is divided into many pieces - they were running an organisation together, but now that org. fell apart. Due to business I guess. But now they started to attack everybody - including their own students or former-students.

Then, of course, their are all these EWTO-offshoots. They still teach WT, the people have to pay the same money, the structures are the same as in the EWTO. The only difference: people may learn faster - if they pay more. And the don't 'have' Leung Ting.

Well, as I said. It's a big mess and it's getting worse every day. So I keep concentrated on training my stuff, learning for my exam in Octobre and I try to get some more muscles for my next visit at the VTM (yes, I'll be coming back soon!).

Best wishes,

Armin.

Armin,
Sorry to hear about all the in fighting. Maybe there is hope for Europa Wing Chun on the horizon. I am sure that Master Meng saw some of the same things you saw on his last visit to Europe and he is possibly organizing something to better the situation I don't know that for certain but it is possible.

How is you own personal training going?

Hi Cang Long,

yes - I truly share your hope in Sifu Meng as our kind of savior in Europe. The problem will be to part the true martial-artists form the money-making fraction and get them into the boat. Time will tell more.

Well, my own training. At the moment, it's not possible for me to train every day, but I train at least four times a week. I'm working on my structure and on the increasement of power through my horse. From time to time I have the feeling of a little 'enlightment' - that's when I understand one more part of what Sifu Meng showed me.

One of the last things I finally figured out was how to do teui ma, being the one who was pushed, without using 'arm-power' but 'horse-power' instead. My arms were totally relaxed, but my partners weren't able to move me. It's always the same. Afterwards it is so easy, you wonder why you weren't able to do it earlier.

I see, that there's still a lot of work to do and even more after my next visit to the VTM - Sifu Meng already told me, what he wants to teach me. I think I quit my job and start training all day instead (though my wife will kill me for that). :D No, serious. I have the luxus of a partner who is willing to do hard training with me and he shares my compassion for ving tsun. We do as many extra-training-hours as possible, so I think we will get that problem solved.

Greetings,

Armin.

Yes, and we can relate to that as well I often wonder how nice it would be to be able to train all day a night every day and get to that point of mind knowing and body karma synergy of understanding but as of yet I have not figured out how to achieve this but like you I am still working on it :)

Let's make a deal: if one of us finds an easy way of making a living and thus giving the opportunity to train all day - we'll share that way. :D

And there's another problem - even if you have that time, being a full-time instructor there's so much to do around a school, it wouldn't make a difference compared to 'normal jobs'. Solution: you got to be married - and let your wife do the job. ;) :D

I had a great idea yesterday: I'll build up a school with different extras. A wellness-part with hammam (not for ralaxation of course, but for cardio-training), grass at the back (not for lying in the sun - for meditation) and a pool (not for cooling in the sun, but for training the whole body). The only thing I need is money - so I'll go to the bank: 'Gimme all your money. I have a loaded po pai and I will use it!!!' :D

It's part of the new 'Self Loving Amazon Valuation (and) Emancipation'-program (short: S. L. A. V. E.-program) I'm working on at the moment. And yes, I need every help and solidarity I can get!!! :D :D :D :D :D
