IMHO it is Nature. As nature is God, Great Spirit, Creator, Budda, etc., etc..

Alakso,
I would love to hear more, if you have some time. My answer was something along the lines of my path suggesting living the here and now, By developing a focused awareness of time, space, and energy within ones existence one becomes awakened by experience. What is the true nature of reality? Reality is governed by the laws of this universe, so to say that there is one ultimate source is to say that there is only one path towards enlightenment.
My take is, everthing ultimately is connected, so their should only exist one reality, but personal perceptions is what does the changing. So when one looks at reality they only see what they previously gathered through past experience but the idea is not to dwell on the past but to understand the experience of now, live the experience while do so by way of T, S, & E awareness. When one understands what T & S they're in and the energy is appropriate, the out comes, is usually positive, but a lake of awereness in any of the three tends to cause a little struggle (seems to be my problem some times :)), so by this then, one can developing their path, constantly gaining more of a clear picture within reality as one grows into the future. The big wake ups are like “paradigm shifts”.
But maybe I saying the same thing in different format, life long division! lol
Thanks! :D
p.s. dont mind any and all errors. Long night!

Hello JamesHFYof AZ. I only know one reality and that is Nature. When the Budda became enlightened was anything in Nature around him different? I think not. Only the Budda's reality changed, not nature. So for me the Ultimate reality is Nature, which is a direct reflection of God, Creator, Great Spirit, etc., etc.. I have been very fortunate to have talked to and emailed some Qigong Masters. And they all say that it's easier in Nature to begin the process of "knowing". And that all knowledge I seek is already within my very cells and DNA. All of our experiences from the beginning of time are there. I think that's why I love Alaska. It's so powerful and spiritual, Nature in all it's glory! It also looks like I'll be returning back to AK. this winter to continue my path. Maybe I'll never find what I seek. But hopefully I can plant the seeds of Love and Compassion where ever I go. I sure wish I could have trained with GM Gee. But the expense is to much for a poor Native like myself. I've been very lucky that a member of this board has led to me to GM Ip Man's DVD's at the VT Museum. I'll learn and train this material when I'm in AK. and hopefully some day I can find a Master of GM Ip Man's system who will come to AK. to help me with corrections and also to help set up a Wing Chun club there for the Native Alaskans. A fundamental idea that's shown up in Western philosophy from as far back as Plato in ancient Greece up to Kant (19th century) is the distinction between perceived reality and 'real' reality.
The idea is that we can only ever know what we perceive, and we can't know that we perceive things the same way others do, but we assume there's commonality to what we perceive. If you and I both look at a four-legged wooden object, we both know it's a chair, even though a chair can take many different forms.

Quantum physics speaks of the observer (kind of like the minds eye) as the perceiver within reality. After one observes, one filters that info down to their liking, ones view of time and space become ones own idea.
Since we all have an observer we all see what we wish by filtering, but one thing that is rarely looked at is, am I perceiving this in its entirety or is this one view or what I wish to see? Most never take the time to look twice, hence never seeing the other side of the same coin. I feel this is why most miss the joys in ones everyday life.
-The chair is just a chair.
-The chair is wood and is hard and is meant for sitting.
-It is not a chair but mass energy formed in time and space creating a solid object with a purpose.
-I don't know what a chair is but that’s a funky lookin table! :D
Just a thought,
peace out!

What you have to realize, there is no spoon....:D . The question you asked is directed at more than one belief. So, you will get get many different answers but all true to the belief of that person that answered it. The reality that you are in search of, you can only find. You can find it in Buddah, or God. It's all how you base your reality.

If I grasp an object am I grasping it or did I already grab it?
Doesn’t thought precede physical action? So thought is like the action previous to the physical action.

Levels of awareness, so to speak. They are different views of one common, all connecting in some form. All religion is connected, so to say that there are many views to reality is correct, but there is only one that we all coexist within.
The reality that you are in search of, you can only find This is very true, one can only see what they wish to see.

Interesting discussion. THere is much philosophical positioning and conjecture about the question. To me physical reality is based upon universal principles of nature that are constant yet changing. You know like the idea of Tai Chi stillness in motion.
On a personal level reality is merely an intrepretation and yes it is highly subjective. Nothing in nature is permanent of fixed, only change itself. Our perceptions are obviously influenced by our past experienced, memories or karma if you will.
I believe we all come from and are a part of the same source, the same energy. Therefore the title that you put on the true source becomes moot in reality. There are one in the same despite the badges that we tend to put on them.
