Below are some members' commentaries for this October 2005 Hung Fa Yi Workshop. Others in attendance, feel free to post your review on this thread.

My impression of the HFY Public Seminar
Previously, my understanding of Kiu Sau and Chi Sau timeframes was cloudy. I understand the fundamentals of the Fau Kiu Kiu Sau, and very little of Chi Sau.
This weekend I got a better understanding of the timeframes and technology involved in Kiu Sau. I enjoy the time we spend with Grandmaster Gee, and envy the San Fransisco students for the close contact they have.

Andrew Adams, Hung Fa Kwoon AZ
I liked all the in depth information on all the subjects and I liked the hand to hand interaction following them. I now have a better view of Kiu Sau as opposed to Chi Sau and all things that apply to both.
Putting Grandmaster Gee's explanations on paper like he did, better helped me to understand it as well. Thanks to all who came and taught at the seminar.

The main advantage/benefit for attending was an understanding of a concept taken from beginning to end. Attending this workshop feels like three weeks of one hour classes compressed into the weekend.
Other items learned - better body structure, positioning, and understanding how some of the class exercises support specific techniques.
It was a great priviledge to meet and spend time with GM Gee and Master Meng. I look forward to practicing and perfecting what was taught.

The Phoenix workshop by Sigung Gee gave a great depth of information regarding Kiu Sau. Preliminary (prerequisite) drilling cover several aspects of proper Tin Yan Dei structure that helped me a lot.
The real treat of the weekend for me, however, was the new Kiu Sau material: Saam Sing Jong. It was a wealth of information on how to properly cross your opponent's center (going from one Jeui Ying position to another). It was beautiful to see how the 3 Gahn Sau (high, low, and centerline) were used to express proper range and two-line defense. The application of this information to Chin Na/Anti-Chin Na was also great to see.
In terms of workshop format, I liked the fact that we had plently of practice time throughout the two days. I am looking forward to the next workshop!

This weekend introducing noth Saan Sau as well as system approach to the Kiu Sau has once again sent a paradigm shift through my mind and body. Over these past two days I was able to clearly see the 3 different timeframes of Kiu Sau, Chi Kiu and Chi Sau. Although Chi Kiu and Chi Sau was not introduced through the system this weekend, all the basic details of Kiu Sau was both explained and shown in a fashion for me, as a continuous learner, to relate my own body to time, space, and energy when applying Kiu Sau as shown.
This new introduction to the 3 Star Concept, in its own timeframe, helped me to better relate Kiu Sau from what I originally believed Kiu Sau was. I have to thank Sitaigung Gee for the patience to teach us and to express and enforce the system approach. I look forward to training Kiu Sau and much more as I am able and allowed.
