Good momentoftheday
I just joined the forum after exploiting it severly about the origins of our arts. I didn't actually learn much, but got quite a lot more confused. Which is, I think, how martial arts are learned.
I'm learning while teaching (and the other way around) Wingtczun here in Finland. Wingtczun is a sort of LeungTing Goes Hoffmann. I'm a student of sifu Zimmermann in the Netherlands. I can't point out any older generations but him, so I didn't put any in.
Special greetings to GM Hoffmann, though.

Welcome to the forum Jarno. How long have you been studying martial arts? Is there interest in Finland for Wing Chun and how many students are you teaching currently?
So many questions..... I hope that you feel welcome here and that your contributions will be many.

Huh, how rude of me. Something happened and I never returned to the forum.
I've done martial arts regularly without breaks since -98. Before that.. well, you know kids.
The role of Wing Chun in Finland is rather strange. We have five different organisations and some 250 practitioners in total. Me, I'm just having fun with my 10-15 younger brothers. For some reason this beloved style of ours has never quite made it through. Maybe because of wrong type of marketing.
Anyways, my apologies not to answer you very friendly lot earlier. I'll try to participate more.
