Man is this ever a busy forum. I have been wrestling with upper management about this forum since last I wrote.
I have invited almost every gym in the WT organization to participate here. Looks like nobody can see a benefit.
I DO!
The United States has always been a tough cookie for WT to crack. I have attributed this to poor management by the people who have been put in charge over the years. Some people are good instructors and not good business people, bottom line! Problems are also at times, political. This happens in every organization. My method has been to always promote my Sifu and not to concern myself with anything else except improving my Wing Tsun. I have supported all of the organizers even though they have not done much to support me. The organization in the United States will never get off the ground until the people who have been put in charge realize that as much as they would like to retain control of the purse it does not belong to them. Bad business practices, enormous egos, greed, jealousy, and other unprofessional behavior is not a way to grow a business but a way to give it a bad name. Recently a student of mine told me that an older brother of mine did nothing but ridicule my position after I reffered this student to learn from him while living in his area. An all around bad business practice. This person is in a key position in the organization here and has a bad habit of attempting to make himself look good by trying to make others look bad. This unfortunately is not the exception, it is the norm.
I know of several of my Sifu's naughty children who are waiting like dogs at a dumpster for him to retire for their own glorification. If you ain't famous now his retirement will do nothing but loose you in the mass of phonies that will surface the day it happens.:rol:
