Hi to all of you!

Over here in Germany, there's a teacher named Roland Sommer, teaching 'Hung Fa Kyuhn'. As far as I understand, this systems inhabits unarmed and armed combat, lion-dance, chi gung and some more stuff.

Oh, yes, he claims to have met his teacher in China Town in San Francisco/Ca.

Does anybody of you know this man or his system? What's that kind of system like? And who might be his teacher???

A lot of instructors don't teach exactly what was taught to them. Therefore, he might be teaching his own curriculum. For instance, lets say that martial arts was very popular among a selective group then fighting might be the focus. Or if you learned from a commercial school then forms would keep the students paying and be of no threat in opening a school down the street. In modern times, health and fitness might be what the public wants, not myths and titles.

What is he teaching and is that what you want from his service?

I have never heard of this person.

If he were a HFY member from SF, I would know of him.

As for what he is teaching he must be doing his own thing because Sifu Gee doesn't currently teach Lion Dancing.
