GM Hoffman,
I too am sorry to hear this is your last post in the forum.
I sincerely hope you reconsider, as it would be a shame for the politics of a few to outweight the great resource and benefit it is to have you as part of the community here.
Regards,
Alex

Hi!
Separating from Sergio Iadarola is a brave step into the right direction.
I hope your not taking part in this forum is just a 'time-out' you take, to get some time to consider the steps needed to bring Weng Chun into a brighter future.
Yours,
Armin.
......it was just an even too much expected choice, as well as very necessary at this point.
If I should blame GM Hoffman for something, it' s because he played too lightly with some statements like the Weng's motherhood towards Wing Chun, even though this was probably a necessary premise for the joint-venture with Iadarola.
As it showed to be an uncomfortable position to carry on and because many questions couldn't be answered, this is probably why GM Hoffman chose not to take part any more in this forum.
I don't see any other evident reason for that.
 :(

Hi lob,
well, I could imagine some more reasons, but I don't think that GM Hoffmann stays away because he's kind of ashamed of what he did. Neither because he thinks that what he tells was wrong, nor because he's man enough to go over possible mistakes.
Well, let's stop talking about that - GM Hoffmann has his reasons, but he didn't tell us. We have to accept that, no matter what we believe.
Armin.
Hi Armin,
Well.... the question is not why GM Hoffman quits, but how.
I think that after so many words of great appreciation for Iadarola and the alleged relationships between the arts, GM Hoffman could at least let us know, before leaving, what he keeps and what he denies of what was said and done .
It was a matter of public discussion for some time after all.
Doing this way, he is giving the impression to have a problem with all of us instead than with Iadarola.

Hi lob,
of course, I'd prefered GM Hoffmann giving some reasons. What happened and all that statements did make us all think a lot.
To do this step surely was very heavy and I believe that even GM Hoffmann doesn't know all that will follow from his decision. So he will have to take his time and do a big deal of thinking.
Just my 2 cents.
Armin.

Perhaps GM Hoffman only meant he won't post further on this thread.
What a coincidence
It is the nature of energy to come and go (Loi Lau Hoi Sung/Taan Tou). Everything has its time and place; its season...
If GM Hoffman deems it appropriate for him to part, that is his right and owes no one an explanation. Energy comes and goes and eventually may come back again. Let it be...

Hi Chang Long,
How is the growth of the Weng Chun family coming along these days?
Fine. The Masters of Weng Chun ( Sifu Zenk, Sifu Reichelt and Sifu Eckert ) are moving straight to the next master-level, while some teachers are working hard to gain mastership. There also will be a next generation of teachers in the end of this year.
Yet we dont know, who will be up to the mark, but everybody tries his best.
We all looking forward to the 20th anniversary of Sifus teaching in November 2006.
