Hi All,
My name is Brian Cox. I'm 42 years old and have been attending Meng's Martial Arts in Huber Heights, OH since May of 2005. I'm a Heating and Cooling contractor; married; 2 boys, 3 and 8 years old. My Sifu is Master Benny Meng.
HFY is a good challenge for me. I have a demanding job, family life and other demands on my time, but I feel drawn to this school and this learning process. Part of the attraction is the fact that, after a long day at work, I get to stand in formation and have someone else tell ME what to do for a change.
Seriously, though, I dedicate what time and effort I can to honestly doing my best, and it stretches me. It tests my discipline, my focus, and my physical abilities.
I've committed myself to the "Black Sash Club," and look forward to becoming a true Practitioner of martial arts. I also hope to forge a few good friendships along the way and to be useful in any way I can.
If anyone reads this and has some words of wisdom or encouragement for a level 2 (going on level 3) student, feel free to email me at hvacphd@choiceonemail.com.
