Fresh New Look, Same Forum!

I thought I'd give the forum a new fresh look for the year. Sometimes a little change is all you need for new energy to come through and welcome in all else that follows.

Thanks to Shawn Miller for the help with the coding. Welcome all members of the Kung Fu community to the "new" Southern Shaolin Kung Fu Global Discussion Forum!

Hope everyone likes the new springtime look. Seems easier on the eyes, I think.

Hello There Sifu Savi

Well now, although I got quite a shock there now when I opened the site, I have to say I like the new look of the forum - I'd be lying if I said I didn't like a bit of the old green here and there. A lovely, professional job.

I'm resubmitting this because it was originally my post but got posted under the wrong name.

Great, fresh new look for the spring. If we can get some red back in, maybe as highlighting somewhere, the design is complete. Good Job Savi! Is there a way we can add more graphics? The Museum is willing to share some of its extensive collection of photos from the different systems of Southern Shaolin.

Errr, I wasn't able to find a usable photo for a tiger to compliment the dragon sculpture. But that's what I was hoping to use!

I like the dragons since I am the year of the dragon. As far as the color I think it looks really green(background' green too). hehe!

I found the picture of the dragon off of google. Unfortunately I found no Tigers, at least one that would compliment the dragon.

Pretty cool huh, they really did an excellent job with the site. I was looking to find a white tiger to go along with the dragon but other than that no complaints straight up compliments and kudos across the board for all those involved.

Savi - what wonderful job on redesigning the forum! The background of the site reminds me of my childhood in China. I can remember walking to the bus stop where every morning I passed a temple with guard dragons in front. They look like the dragons on your site! My mother brought back two carved teak wood dragons to remind us of our time in China! The dragons still sit in her living room!!

I've reorganized the forum structure a bit, OK, well a lot. let me know if you don't have any luck finding the forums you frequent, and we'll point you in the right direction.

The HFY forum got a big overhaul, and it will take some getting used to...

Welcome to the forum, Peter! I'm not the owner of this site but I am one of the administrators. I see you are from Joliet. I am also originally from the Chicagoland area.

My family lives out by you, and they've not noticed any Wing Chun schools out in that area either. What did you train before, and have you kept up?

Looks to me that you did another great job. Although initially some 'getting used to'-time might be required, the new structure more or less "calmes down" the face of forum. It is a good example of "sense and simplicity" ... the brand promise of the company I work for since Nov 1st.
