Hi there.It's very good to be here to discuss evrything about all the rich martial sytems from the south!
I'm Jason Moraes,25 from Brasil and I consider myself to be a very lucky person since I have found HFY wing chun.I practiced other lineages of Ip Man wing chun but Hung Fa Yi is what I was looking for.I started my training a week ago under the teaching of my Sifu Alex Magnos,who is studying this wonderful martial science with Master Benny Meng.Just wanted to share my joy with you.

It's good to hear from a brother from the far Northeast of Brazil! I hope we can meet soon.
Please, note that although my friend Alex Magnos has a great skill and is a great Wing Chun practitioner, in this family he is to be called your Sihing. As far as HFY is concerned, nobody has attained the status of Sifu in Brazil yet.
I'm looking forward to meeting you in Rio, my brother.

Hi there.

First all, it’s vary good to be here in our Southern Shaolin Kung Fu Virtual Home, mainly Wing Chun Kung Fu!

I’m Alex Magnos, 29 from Brazil; I’m sifu in the Ip Man Wing Chun Lineage, I’m signed up in the VTM Certification Program and I’m a HFY student under Sifu Benny Meng.

I’m here for first time to make clear a recent discuss around my name.

It’s the truth:
The guy, Jason Moraes, 25 from Brazil, isn’t my student! Simply he went to my school to visit it and talk about Wing Chun a week ago and nothing more. Indeed, he is or was a student in the Emin Boztepe Lineage.

He isn’t signed up in my school as an Ip Man student and He isn’t signed up in the Northern Brazilian HFY Group under Sifu Benny Meng, and someone to say different is wrong!!

I hope this mistake is clear now and the guy, Jason, say the truth to everybody here and contact me to talk about it!!

I understood from Jason's manifestation on the Brazilian HFY e-list that he paid a visit to our branch in Fortaleza and was so much touched that he resolved to start practicing Hung Fa Yi this week.

I'd like to hear more on Jason's experience both in HFY and in Sifu Boztepe's Brazilian school, including the reasons why he took the decision of becoming a student in our family.

Firts of all,sorry for my kinda misleading introduction!
That said,I shoul've explained it better:I've been talking to Alex since last year(november,i guess) and since then I showed deep interest in learning Hung fa Yi.I met him last week and I said i would apply for the school(I was so anxious to become part of this great family that i was considering myself already a member of the school!) and so I did today:)
Everything is solved and now I'm proudly part of the Hung Fa Yi branch in Fortaleza,now under the formal guidance of Sifu Alex(hey Sifu,I really didn't mean to make things so confusing!Sorry,again!).
It's a true happiness to me and an important decision i was willing to take since when i've heard about HFY for the first time(almost 4 years ago).
Well,my previous experiences within other branches of wing chun/tzun were sufficeint to make me realize that Hung Fa Yi is what i've been looking for:A deep,complete (in every sense) martial science with deep roots in Shaolin in which I'm sure i will grow up and learn a lot.I jus can't ask for anything more:)

Now it’s true! After to set everything clear.Jason become really a new member at Northern Brazilian HFY Group yesterday. Now, we can say welcome to HFY Martial Science World to our new brother Jason Moraes.
