I was just curious about the this thread. Are you asking for a volunteer from HFY HQ to post what is currently going on in the SF Hung Fa Kwoon like Master Meng is doing in the Dayton thread, etc.? Also, will all the branch schools be doing this? Thanks.

This thread will allow the World Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun Kung Fu Association to make any announcements regarding updating news, future public workshops, training schedules, etc..

The two Hung Fa Kwoons listed, currently are the only two regional headquarters. As for now, we will keep only the Dayton and the Phoenix Hung Fa Kwoons, along with the World Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun Kung Fu Association on this section.

Thanks for the clarification Sibaak Alan. To be truthful I was hoping that we would have something for each of the branches, whether it was a sticky/thread or a separate section like we had last year. I felt that it gave each location the opportunity to discuss local events, current training focuses, et cetera (in other words, discussions that may not be of much interest to the other branches.) Thanks again...

I understand your point of view. But for now, we will keep the current set-up. All the branch Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun Kwoons and Clubs can use this section to post any of their news, discussions, etc..

Grandmaster Garrett Gee will be conducting a Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun Instructor's workshop at the Hung Fa Kwoon in Arizona this weekend. All local instructors (candidates) are required to attend.

May 12 (friday) 5-10pm
May 13 (saturday) 9-5pm

To Sitaigung Gee,
I would like to wish our Grandmaster a safe and comfortable trip to Phoenix today. It will be about 102' in the valley here, and the A/C will definitely be on blast! We are all anxious for his arrival.

I would like to thank Grandmaster Gee for coming out to train the Instructor Candidates Group in the ways of Kwan Sau Kiu Sau, more philosophy, more history, and more of the true sense of martial culture. I would also like to thank Sifu (Loewenhagen) for his continued guidance for us, and his support in contributing to the survival of the Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun Paai. Without our Sifu, we (his todai) would not be here. More than that, I show to Sifu through my actions how grateful I am to him.

Thank you Sitaigung for sharing so much with us. We learned a great deal about how we tend to look at combat and the reality of combat from your knowledge. The philosophy you share with us simply reinforces the truth of HFY and its seemingly endless aspects in completeness, consistency, and simplicity. I can see how the "complexity" of the system may only be a state of mind.

Speaking for myself, the wisdoms you share always have a direct impact on my sense of awareness and that reality check helps me understand where and when I stray off the middle road. In truth, I went through a very intense paradign shift during your visit this weekend. I cannot express my true feelings in words, but I will never forget it. The lessons I have learned in your teachings of Tin Yan Dei Saam Mo Kiu have helped me tremendously such that I measure everything I can comprehend with it. I can see there is a very clear difference from my old thinking and my current thinking, just based on the lectures you have shared with us this weekend.

I shall post a review for the weekend by Monday.
