have allways been into martial arts, I started doing wushu first not realy knowing too much about anything, I felt it was not 4 me so I took up kick boxing after a year I felt I got what I wanted out of it and allways felt something was missing in my training. I fell very ill christmas 04 probally from burning myself out in thai kickboxing and not sleeping well. I had to take alot of time off work and with so much time on my hands i decided to research into shaolin gung fu. I was so intreiged by what I read that I purchased more and more books on chi kung, different styles and buddhism. Deciding now that shaolin gung fu was for me I hung up my gloves. When I had a bit more energy in me I started to try and find a teacher. It was so difficult to find a traditional shaolin style/sifu that eventually after attending about 15-20 individual classes on all sorts of styles I became dishartened. But then I decided to do a search in my actual home town. Turned out there was a southern praying mantis kwoon only 10 mins from my house. I attended and to cut a long story shot sifu invited me to be one of his students. I jumped at the chance and have not looked back since. I practice chow gar tong long pai and i lllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvv vvvveeeeeeeeeeee it.
