1. List the Four Martial Art Activites. Is one activity better than the others? If no, why?
Health/Fitness, Sports/Games, Art/Entertainment, and Combat/Self Defense. It all comes down to what you want to gain in your training. If you want to just get in shape, for entertainment, self defense, or just another sport to compete in all depends on what you want to accomplish in your future martial art training.
2. What is the reality of self defense and combat?

Weng Kiu symbolizes complete understanding and knowledge this is when the student becomes a teacher to others. If you are learning a foreign language you take classes with an open mind and no understanding of the new language being taught (Fau Kiu). You then have taken years of classes and have knowledge and understanding of the language and begin to expand your capacity of the language to even greater lengths (Saan Kiu). Then after more time you have become fluent in the language and then begin to teach others your understanding and knowledge of the language (Weng Kiu).

8. What is your current focus in training? What do you like and dislike in realms of teaching and training methods?
Obtaining my 1st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do as a young teenager back in 1995 taught me several priceless aspects to life. It taught me discipline, balance, power, self-esteem, and more than I could ever imagine. Through martial arts I have gained knowledge of the art and of myself. With several years away from Master Meng I rejoined the school in hopes to reach a new level of flexibility, strength, knowledge, and understanding. When I was a student 10 years ago the school was divided between mainly Tae Kwon Do and Kung Fu. I am truly impressed that he intergraded several art forms into one teaching method. Since different martial art styles focus on one point, knowing several styles will give anyone the advantage. As a new student I cannot say if there are any dislikes of the teaching and training methods.
9. What is the mental skill of Grade One?
The mental skill of grade one is the understanding of will-power. Will-power is the ability to focus your energy to a specific time, energy, and space. Will-power could also be used to describe your persistance in what you do and to achieve it with all your might.
