7. What does a "Black Sash" or "Black Belt" represent in the martial arts community to you?
To me, black sash/black belt represents a level of focus achieved over a certain
period of time. I feel that once I have achieved the black belt level I have attained the basic skills necessary to move to the next belt level. Also, I would feel proud and overjoyed to know that I've achieved a level of skill as a martial artist. But I don't think I would feel satisfied or proud if I reached the black belt level without the proper techniques and proper body mechanics. Therefore, I strife to do it the right way.
