to whom it may concern:
i remember a while back reading an article by grand master andreas hoffman(chi sim weng chun) where (if i recall correctly) he mentioned these three practices: kiu sau, chi kiu, chi sau.
what i'm thinkin is that kiu sau is individual practice of different kiu sau faht. i think sup baat saan sik is somethin analagous to 12 bridge hands of hung ga? in that its a conceptual model of bridge hadn methods. now, i know that chi sau is sticky hands and i assume that CHWC practices heaven, man, earth (long, close, body) sensitivity drills? i assume long to be around the wrist, close to be around the forearm, and body to be above the elbow, as far the hand bridges are concerned.
my question is, what exactly is chi kiu(stick bridge)? is this some sort of bridge-gapping practice method which bridges the gap between individual bridge hand training and chi sau?
PS- PLEASE feel free to correct me on my assumptions above, these are all conjecture and i'm sure i'm prolly WAAAY off! i'm jus curious about the study of CHWC, since i practice jow ga, i'm curious as to the naam siu lum correlations. thank you very much in advance!
