We will be the next days in Hongkong and Fatshan and we are visiting our chinese weng chun family. In Fatshan we have the honour to visit Tang family´s Chitong and to meet some for us unknown family members. We will write next week directly from China.

We (Sifu Tang Chung Pak, Sifu Sunny So, Sifu Eckert and me) spent the weekend in the village of the Tang family in Fatshan. We trained and exchanged weng chun in the chitong of the Tang family, a building which the Tang family exercised and celebrate. It was so a great honour for us. At the cave of GM Tang Yick we did all a tratidional chinese celebration. We were guest of the son of GM Tang Yick.
We also visited the Wong Fei Hung Museum and the Ving Tsun Museum in Fatshan, but we were dissapointed by the superficiality, especially the Kung Fu demonstration was a big joke.
Now, in Hongkong we will meet GM Cheng Kwong, Sifu So, Sifu Tang and Sifu Chiu Chi Ling for daily exchange. It is so good to meet our family.

Grand master Hoffmann and Sifu Eckert,
Have a safe journey home and we look forward to hearing more interesting and enlightening news about the weng chun family and your visit.
It is always a pleasure to hear of your trips GM Hoffman! I look forward to the upcoming write-up of the trip. Hopefully in time I will have enough experience with Weng Chun Kuen to fully appreciate the things you share with us.
Thank you GM Hoffman.
Respectfully,
-Savi.

Grand Master Hoffmann,
Sounds like you and Holger had a wonderful trip. I wish I could have been there. I'm looking forward to reading the notes on the trip. Were there any new discoveries?
Sorry to say, I must agree with you - the experience I had in China with the Chinese Wing Chun community was pretty sad.
My latest experience was in Faatsan with some Ip Man people from the US. We came across some old gentleman that was very eager to talk about Wing Chun. He didn't know much but everybody treated him like he was a recognized Master. They all got excited about this guy because he was old and Chinese. In realms of Wing Chun, with SNT/Ck/BJ, the mainland community is really quite young and inexperienced. They are really playing catch-up. Unfortunately, the general martial arts population has an illusion that in order to find good kung fu you must go to China. My research and experience tells me that most authentic, traditional kung fu left China a long time ago.
