I would like to welcome all members of the Choy Lay Fut family to share their knowledge and experiences with us @ HFY108. Our forum, which is dedicated to the Southern Shaolin family, is growing and we hope to make this place a home to all Shaolin families.
Again, welcome to HFY108!

We don't have one!!
We've different branches/styles, so nominating one grandmaster for all of the styles combinded?? Don't think that would be a good idea!! How would you decide, who would decide? If the Grandmaster was from one branch, would the people from other branches consider him as their grandmaster?
Too messy I'd have to say.

Gagalina, thank you for joining this forum! Do you know how many lineages there are of CLF? How far back does CLF originate? Are there "younger" and "older" kinds of CLF?

Hi there,
here you can find our Hung Sing history:
http://www.choylayfut-ireland.com/clfhistory.html
or go to our main page for more info:
www.choylayfut-ireland.com
There are 3 lineages, Chan family, Hung Sing and Buk Sing with Buk Sing being the newest, and depending on whether you are Chan Family or Hung Sing there are some small differences in the origin of the style.
Not going to get into this too much, cause everybody has a different idea, and there is no way to proove which one is the true lineage, if there is one at all.
I've read so many posts on other forums on this and the other historical fact, all I can say => train and have fun!!
