Hi!
@ YuLi:
'Phoenix Fist' is a special way of making a fist - not all fingers are closed to a fist, there's one finger only 'half-closed' (usually the middle-finger) and the knuckle stays a little out. The 'Phoenix Fist' or 'Phoenix Eye' is normally used to attack Dim Mak-points and nerves.
Oh, Lok Yiu is not the only one teaching the Phoenix Eye - it's a normal part of the Biu Dji (except in the Wong Shun Leung-based styles - Wong Shun Leung took it out of the Biu Dji for several reasons).
Where are you from?
Greetings,
Armin.
Greetings to Berlin ^^
Sorry, I just wanted to discuss about the opinon of many wing chun students in Germany: They say, that there is no Phoenix Fist in Wing Chun, only in Choy Lee Fut.t´s not my opinon :p
Here the discussion about that ( sorry, it´s in German):

Hi!
@ YuLi:
It´s not my opinon
Don't let Wendlin or Philipp hear about your opinion. ;) :D
Here the discussion about that ( sorry, it´s in German):
Hey, no problem, I can read german, too! :D :D :D
This discussion surely did s*** - it was the usual "My Sifu said ..." - "No, you are stupid! My Sifu said ..." - "You all are idiots 'cause my Sifu said ..." - (and then the Wong-fraction) "You guys all s*** - WT is sh** and your teachers have no ... and ... or ... ..." And than of course the 'Alliance' or 'Sifu Dragos': "You all are wrong - *now a lot of explanation* - Kernspecht doesn't teach everything - in my new online-'Masters Academy' ... the only truth ..."
To be true, I see it in a practical manner - if it works, I'll use it. And I was shown, that Phoenix Eye and Dim Mak really works (not in an way like 'now you die in ten days', but in a way of paralysing limbs and causing real pain).
I´m from Bavaria, you know me from sommercamp with Sifu Meng !
Well, I wasn't there. I wanted to join, but due to date-problems I couldn't join. But hopefully I'll be there the next time.
Greetings from Heidelberg,
Armin.
Ok, I write in German ( I explain something ) :
Sorry, habe dich verwechselt, mit jemanden, mit ähnlichem Namen *g*, deswegen schrieb ich auch "Berlin" und das mit dem Sommercamp , tschuldigung ! Wo trainierst du ?
Don't let Wendlin or Philipp hear about your opinion.
was meinst du damit ? habe gar keine Meinung darüber,da ich mich einfach nur informieren möchte ^^
--------
ok, einfach nur eine Verwechslung, aber es geht ja ums Thema Phoenix Fist ^^

Hi YuLi,
no problem - I already thought that you mistook me for someone else.
Hm, you want to inform yourself - do you or your Sifu train Phoenix Eye? As I said, I met a teacher (not Wing Chun) who showed me, that this stuff really works. It's a very interesting (and painful) experience when you get hit e. g. on the inside of upper arm and your arm just turns dead for a few seconds.
Oh, btw: another "Dim Mak"technique - the Gaan Sao. Remember? The Gaan Sao against low punches and you don't hit the wrist, but that short part of the forearm right in front of the ellbow (this small muscle-part that gets bigge, when you make fist). If you hit that point with a Gaan Sao, the arm really hurts!
Regards,
Armin.
PS: I train in Heidelberg/Eppelheim (I'm running my own school).
Oh Yeah, I thought you came from Weng Chun ;) , but now I know, that it isn´t
