Awhile back we touched briefly on the area, in accupuncture we
call the Girdle Vessel ( Dai Mei ) . I'ts intersection points are
GB 26 - GB- 27 GB-28 which is in the lower Dan Tien area.
I'ts primary function is to regulate Qi in the Gall Bladder, It is
also responsible for the chi's horizontal balance , which when lost
affects both your balance and center. In essence it affects both
physical as we'll as mental. This vessel is responsible also for the
strength in the waist area. This is a key area of focus for any
martial artist or athlete especially a H.F.Y student since so muchof our emphasis is on root, center, vertical and horizontal balance.
and waist rotation, all dealing with time space and energy. My past
training back ground was in Southern Gong Fu,we trained in various Qi Gong exercises to specifically develop this area of the Qua.In H.F.Y are there any exercises to develop this area?, would
Leung Yi Mah, with Yih Ji Kihm Yeung Mah concepts be one of them ?.Any feedback or takers on this one.
