Welcome Wingchunlawyer. Would you mind explaining your Laap Sau 5 picture for us?

Are those structures accurate for what you have learned?

What is being applied in this photograph?

Thank you very much for the welcome in the forum.

Actually the picture is of number 5 Lap Sao techniques there is a variation of them with applications in punch. A system of training of Lap Sao whose the movement is free with attack still exists on top and in bass, as executed in free Chi Sao. In this picture this being applied Bon Sao and Lap Sao, I repeat is a picture of a sequence of movements.

What I am making is a picture of a sequence of movements. It follows enclosure the video clip of the training for best understanding to your website.

Thanks for the reply. I think I can see it now with all the photos you have posted.

I hope you had a good New Year, and I would like to know more perhaps a bit more about the structures you use in your application.

What determines where your parts are positioned (ie elbows and wrists)?

Welcome, Do you guys always do lop sao with the elbows so far out? It just seems that there isn't much structure in the rolling. Does this open up your centerline (causing one to do a lot of bracing)? Does it offer middle gate attacks due to the openness offered from the elbows being high? Just wondering if there is any area of vulnerability that is recognized?

From what I have learned in my Yip Man Ving Tsun training is that the elbows should stay in front of the hip when striking or when "pressing" center.

James, you bring up good questions.

Thank you for the questions, although I'm not a master in Wing Chun
I will try explain.

We studied the theory of the central line (Joan Sien), however
we studied the body seen in three dimensions.

Based on the theory of the central line in three dimensions, we can
to conclude that the opponent's central line depends on the
positioning in that he meets.

The theory of the immobile elbow (Bat Doan Djiang) it consists in
to protect the low part, especially when it is been in the
position Tam Sao.

Newton's theory presupposes that two bodies don't occupy it
same space simultaneously, like this when a punch is struck
same space, like this when a punch is struck automatically there is a
movement of the elbow opening in theory the flanks.

In the picture, be noticed that there is the work of legs the footwork, the
end of applying Pon Sao, when struck the punch.
See that the application of this system that my right hand
it holds the opponent's hand in bass avoiding an attack, however
I can attack him, or to lock both arms lowering the hand of
top and to hit him.

Another aspect to be approached, is that in Wing Chun seeks to open the
the opponent's central line, even if is for the flanks, that it is
considered central line in reason of the three-dimensional vision.

Regarding the elbow, Wing Chun's punch can be
struck in line straight or circular, depending on the situation.
It owes if to have in mind that the movement should flow, and when us
we came across fighters of Wing Chun that will make the
difference is the effect surprise.

Therefore, Wing Chun seeks to open the central line, although
have to demonstrate that I am vulnerable in certain area
so that he is diffuse in a trap.

The structure of our application is very simple, we applied footwork
simultaneously with the arms.

Thank you.
