It is well-known for many, many years that Ip Man recorded himself performing Siu Nim Tau, Chum Kiu and the Wooden Dummy. Has anyone ever wondered about Biu Ji and the weapons?
According to our latest research and information, Ip Man also recorded Biu Ji and the weapons. Dung Sun (sp?) was the person that did the original recordings. He gave some, but not all, of the films to Ip Man's sons, Ip Chun and Ip Ching. Before he had a chance to give all the footage to the sons, Dung Sun passed away. Leung Ting knew about the films so he, and Kernspect (with deep pockets), approached Dung Sun's wife and bought them from her for a large sum. Today, Leung Ting has the films in his possession. A few snips of the video, as pictures, appear in the latest copy of Kungfu-Taichi magazine with Leung Ting on the cover holding his long pole.
What is the plan, or when will Leung Ting release the footage? I guess the world will have to wait.
Also, this new issue of Kungfu-Taichi magainze is a Wing Chun collector's edition and the VTM has an article written by Richard Loewenhagen in it.
